Artists’ Testimonials

Caia

I was approached by The Discerner Magazine and invited to submit images of my work to be published in the monthly magazine. After some correspondence with the Editor in Chief Celine Gaurier-Joubert I decided to advertise for a few months in the run up to Christmas. The magazine is distributed across Mayfair in London, one of my key client areas. Celineʼs enthusiasm about the magazine and her passion for my work combined with the 3 full page issues of the magazine has led to an invitation to exhibit with a Gallery in Mayfair in a few months time. Celine is a very passionate and driven lady and the whole experience with The Discerner Magazine has been a very positive . I will be continuing my relationship with The Discerner Magazine and would recommend artists wishing to gain more exposure for their work.

I have featured in The Discerner magazine for over a year now. Celine contacted me in early 2016 with her invitation to be part of her new magazine, and I was immediately impressed with her proposal and business plan. As Celine is a master pianist I knew she was a driven individual and this has proven to be the case. I initially committed to featuring for a few months but this continued into 2017 and I am still happy to feature. As a result of the continued visibility the gallery that represents me has had increased profitable enquiries. In addition, Celine works hard to increase artist visibility outside of print, and this month I am delighted to feature in the ‘It’s All About Piano’ exhibition that she has organised in conjunction with the French Institute.

” I was exhibiting at the Other Art Fair when I was approached by Celine Gaurier-Joubert to see if I would be interested in showing my work in her contemporary art magazine The Discerner. Her concept seemed pretty unique; direct mail to a contained central area of London with a high likelihood of art collectors, in a well laid out small glossy magazine with a hand-picked collection of International artists. This was a great opportunity to show a curated selection of my work on a full page spread at a very reasonable rate without the usual extortionate gallery commission leveraged on sales. In my second month I was invited to show one of my paintings on the front cover. It sold straight away, with the personal help & negotiation of Celine, to a retired diplomat and we were able to deliver and hang the work without any extra cost to ourselves or the buyer. The whole experience was seamless. In addition Celine curated an exhibition of selected works of the some of the artists at The Discerner headquarters in December with a soiree opening for a number of private collectors; a chance for them to meet the artists and see their work in the flesh. Being in The Discerner is an unparalleled privilege; to be part of a boutique brand of selected artists with direct access to serious art collectors in the heart of one of the top cities for art in the world today.”

I was approached by Celine Gaurier-Joubert earlier in 2017. She had noticed my equestrian and landscape paintings at a gallery in Oxfordshire and was impressed with what she saw, especially in the area of equestrian painting, and asked if i would like to be featured in her arts publication, The Discerner.

I was impressed by her enthusiasm and passion for art and her appreciation and understanding of the creative process, and business of marketing art.. She has an innate skill at connecting the art work she has hand picked, with the right audience of art lovers and collectors. And already had an appropriate venue in mind for introducing my equestrian work to her contacts.

I was attracted by the well designed magasine and also the high quality and diversity of the artists work featured within it.. The area of distribution was attractive and the business terms reasonable. The ‘events’ and soirees that Celine organises broadens the profile for the artists concerned. My dressage oil painting featured on the front cover of the May issue and was purchased. immediately. An evening event at Purdey and Sons in Mayfair, organised by Celine in June was a great opportunity to meet those interested in sporting and contemporary art, and Celine was a dynamic and efficient host throughout the evening, making introductions and generally promoting the artists work to the guests. i enjoyed this opportunity to meet both the her interesting guests and the other artists involved. I am delighted with our working relationship so far, and look forward to continuing to consolidate my artwork profile with future appearances in The Discerner Publication.

Showing my work with The Discerner magazine has been a great experience for me. Celine is an incredibly friendly and supportive person, who has helped me gain exposure for my art in collecting circles, which as an emerging artist, I would otherwise not have access to.

I have found the entire experience to be very positive and look forward to future involvements with The Discerner and Celine.
